Description

Air Fryer Churros are a delightful and healthier take on the classic fairground treat. Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil (for dough)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Chocolate sauce (for serving)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine water, vegetable oil, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in flour and baking powder until fully mixed.
  3. Allow the dough to cool slightly for about five minutes.
  4. Transfer dough into a piping bag fitted with a star tip or use a Ziplock with one corner snipped.
  5. Pipe churros onto parchment paper or directly into the preheated air fryer basket, cutting them to your desired length.
  6. Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 10-12 minutes until golden brown, flipping halfway through.
  7. Mix sugar and cinnamon; toss cooked churros in this mixture until coated. Serve warm with chocolate sauce.
