- 1 cup water
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil (for dough)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- Chocolate sauce (for serving)
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine water, vegetable oil, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
- Remove from heat and stir in flour and baking powder until fully mixed.
- Allow the dough to cool slightly for about five minutes.
- Transfer dough into a piping bag fitted with a star tip or use a Ziplock with one corner snipped.
- Pipe churros onto parchment paper or directly into the preheated air fryer basket, cutting them to your desired length.
- Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 10-12 minutes until golden brown, flipping halfway through.
- Mix sugar and cinnamon; toss cooked churros in this mixture until coated. Serve warm with chocolate sauce.
