Description

Apple Cinnamon Agua Fresca is a delightful summer drink that beautifully marries the crisp sweetness of fresh apples with the warm, cozy spice of cinnamon. This refreshing beverage is not only simple to prepare but also perfect for any occasion, whether you’re lounging on a sunny day or hosting a gathering. Serve it chilled over ice, and watch as it becomes an instant favorite among friends and family.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups fresh apples, peeled and chopped (about 4 medium apples)
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar or honey (adjust to taste)
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)

Instructions

  1. Wash, core, and chop the apples into small pieces.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine chopped apples, water, and cinnamon sticks. Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 15 minutes until apples soften.
  3. Remove from heat, discard cinnamon sticks, and blend the mixture until smooth.
  4. Strain through a fine mesh strainer into a pitcher to remove pulp.
  5. While still warm, stir in sugar or honey and lemon juice until dissolved. Chill in the refrigerator.
  6. Serve over ice, garnished with apple slices or a dusting of cinnamon.
