- 2 cans (15 oz each) navy or pinto beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 cup diced onion
- 4 slices bacon, chopped
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp yellow mustard
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, cook chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Drain excess fat, leaving about one tablespoon.
- Add diced onion to the skillet and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine the drained beans, onion-bacon mixture, brown sugar, mustard, ketchup, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and spread evenly.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes for crispy edges.
