- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 cups sweetened coconut flakes
- 1 cup candy eggs (for decoration)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually combine it with the wet ingredients until just mixed. Fold in the chocolate chips and coconut flakes.
- Drop tablespoon-sized mounds of dough onto prepared sheets, spacing them two inches apart; create a slight indentation in each mound.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden but centers remain soft. Press candy eggs into each nest while warm.
- Allow cookies to cool completely before serving.
