Description

Fresh cherry balsamic glaze is a vibrant and flavorful sauce that transforms your dishes into culinary delights. Combining sweet, ripe cherries with rich balsamic vinegar creates a sticky, glossy glaze that perfectly complements grilled meats, salads, and even desserts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh cherries (pitted and halved)
  • 1 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper

Instructions

  1. Wash the fresh cherries thoroughly, remove the pits, and slice them in half.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine halved cherries, balsamic vinegar, honey or maple syrup, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Heat over medium heat until the mixture simmers gently. Stir occasionally for about 15-20 minutes until it thickens to a syrupy consistency.
  4. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly; the glaze will thicken further as it cools.
  5. Drizzle over grilled meats, roasted vegetables, or desserts as desired.
