- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp allspice
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
- 2 Scotch bonnet peppers, chopped (or to taste)
- 2 tsp dried thyme
- Juice of 1 lime
Instructions
- In a blender, combine garlic, soy sauce, brown sugar, allspice, cayenne pepper, Scotch bonnet peppers, thyme, and lime juice. Blend until smooth.
- Place chicken breasts in a resealable bag or shallow dish; pour half of the jerk sauce over them. Seal or cover tightly and marinate in the refrigerator for at least one hour.
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Grill chicken for 6-7 minutes per side or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
