  • 1 lb boneless beef sirloin, sliced into thin strips
  • 8 oz fresh button mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups low-sodium beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare all ingredients by slicing the beef against the grain and chopping the onion and mushrooms.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and sauté onions and mushrooms until soft (about 5 minutes).
  3. Remove vegetables from the skillet and brown the beef in the same skillet, cooking for about 3 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle flour over the beef, stir to coat, then gradually add beef broth while stirring to avoid lumps. Add Worcestershire sauce, garlic, salt, and pepper; simmer for about 5 minutes until thickened.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in sour cream until fully combined.
  6. Serve over egg noodles or rice and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
