- 1 lb Italian sausage (mild or spicy)
- 1 cup plain breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

- 28 oz canned crushed tomatoes
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, Italian sausage, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, parsley, and Parmesan cheese. Mix until well blended.
- Shape the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs for even cooking.
- Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C). Alternatively, use an oven at the same temperature.
- Place meatballs on the smoker rack or a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Smoke for about 1 hour until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
- While smoking, heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add crushed tomatoes and season with salt and pepper; let it simmer.
