- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 cup chopped Granny Smith apples (about 2 medium apples)
- 2 tbsp cinnamon sugar mixture (1 tbsp granulated sugar + 1 tsp ground cinnamon)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Gradually fold this into the wet ingredients until combined.
- Gently fold in the chopped apples.
- Pour the batter into the prepared dish and spread evenly. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Allow to cool slightly before cutting into squares.
