Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp active dry yeast
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 cup whole milk (warm)
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries (chopped)
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. 1. Activate Yeast: Warm milk until lukewarm, then sprinkle yeast and 1 tsp sugar. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. 2. Prepare Dough: In a bowl, mix flour, remaining sugar, and salt. Add the yeast mixture and melted butter. Stir to combine, then knead on a floured surface for about 5 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for about 1 hour until doubled.
  3. 3. Make Filling: Chop strawberries and mix sugar with cinnamon in another bowl.
  4. 4. Roll Dough: Punch down the risen dough and roll out into a rectangle. Spread butter, sprinkle cinnamon-sugar mixture, and layer strawberries evenly.
  5. 5. Shape Rolls: Roll tightly into a log from one long side; slice into equal pieces (about 1 inch thick).
  6. 6. Bake: Place rolls in a greased baking dish with space between them. Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes while preheating the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
