- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine water and sugar. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely and let it cool.
- Blend lemon juice, cooled sugar syrup, basil leaves, and lemon zest until smooth.
- Pour the mixture into an airtight container and freeze for about 2 hours until partially frozen.
- Blend again briefly to break up ice crystals, then return to the freezer for at least another 4 hours until fully set.
