Ingredients
  

For the base
  • 1 gallon Apple cider Fresh, unfiltered
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • 1 cup Everclear or high-proof grain alcohol
  • 1 tablespoon Cinnamon Ground
  • 1 teaspoon Nutmeg Ground
  • 1 teaspoon Allspice Ground
  • 4 cups Water
  • 2 cups Apple slices Fresh, for flavor

Method
 

Prepare the mixture
  1. In a large pot, combine apple cider, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and water. Heat over medium heat until sugars dissolve.
  2. Add cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice to the mixture. Stir well and bring to a simmer.
  3. Once simmering, remove from heat and let cool for about 30 minutes.
Combine with alcohol
  1. After the mixture has cooled, stir in the Everclear or high-proof grain alcohol.
  2. Add apple slices to the mixture for additional flavor.
Bottle the moonshine
  1. Using a strainer, pour the mixture into mason jars, making sure to include some apple slices in each jar.
  2. Seal the jars tightly and store in a cool, dark place for at least a week to allow flavors to meld.
