Preparation
- Trim excess fat from the beef chuck roast and season with salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika.
- Slice the onion and mince the garlic.
Cooking
- Place the sliced onion and minced garlic at the bottom of the crockpot.
- Add the seasoned beef roast on top of the onions and garlic.
- Pour the BBQ sauce and beef broth over the beef.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours until the beef is tender.
Serving
- Shred the beef with two forks and mix it with the sauce in the crockpot.
- Serve on buns or with sides of your choice.
