  • 3-4 tablespoons Ice water
For the Filling
  • 2 cups Fresh cherries pitted
  • 1 cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
For Topping (Optional)
  • 1 cup Whipped cream
  • 1/4 cup Chocolate shavings

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. Prepare the pie crust by rolling it out and fitting it into a 9-inch pie pan.
  3. Mix the cherry filling by combining fresh cherries with sugar, cornstarch, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl.
  4. Fold in chocolate chips.
  5. Pour the cherry and chocolate mixture into the prepared crust.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 45-50 minutes.
  7. Cool for at least an hour before slicing.
