Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb fresh salmon fillet, skin removed and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tsp cornstarch (for slurry)
  • 1 tbsp water (for slurry)

Method
 

  1. Pat the salmon cubes dry thoroughly with paper towels to ensure crispiness.
  2. In a bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Add salmon and toss to coat.
  3. Sprinkle cornstarch over the salmon and toss again for even coating.
  4. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes. Spray basket lightly with cooking spray.
  5. Place salmon in a single layer in the air fryer. Cook for 7-8 minutes, flipping halfway.
  6. While salmon cooks, make glaze. In saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, garlic, vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes.
  7. Simmer 2 minutes. Add cornstarch slurry (1 tsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp water) and whisk until thickened. Remove from heat.
  8. Transfer cooked salmon to a bowl. Pour glaze over and gently toss to coat.
  9. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions. Serve immediately with rice or vegetables.
