Ingredients

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ¾ cup butter (unsalted, softened)
  • 4 ounces cream cheese (at room temperature)
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • ⅓ cup sour cream
Fruits
  • 1 ½ cups blueberries (fresh)

Equipment

  • Electric mixer
  • Baking sheets
  • parchment paper
  • mixing bowls

Method

Baking Steps
  1. Preheat the oven to 350℉ (175℃). Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper; set aside.
  2. Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl. Set aside.
  3. Beat the sugar, cream cheese, and butter in a large bowl with an electric mixer until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes. Mix in the egg, vanilla extract, and sour cream until well combined.
  4. Add the flour mixture and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Gently fold in the blueberries. Drop 1½ tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets about 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven until the bottom of the cookies just begins to brown, 15 to 18 minutes. Cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
