Cheese
  • 12 count Mozzarella string cheese
Breading
  • 2 cups Panko Bread Crumbs
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon parsley
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
For Coating
  • 1 cup milk
Frying
  • Oil for frying
Dipping Sauce
  • Marinara Sauce homemade or store bought

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cut the mozzarella string cheese into 1-inch pieces.
  2. Prepare the coating process by pouring milk into a bowl and setting it aside. Place 1 cup of flour in a plastic bag and mix 2 cups of panko with the Italian seasoning and parsley in another bag.
  3. Take the cheese pieces and dip them in the milk one handful at a time.
  4. Toss the cheese in the flour bag and shake well.
  5. Return the cheese to the milk, ensuring it's fully coated.
  6. Toss the cheese in the panko mixture until evenly coated.
  7. Place the mozzarella bites on a plate or in a bag and freeze for at least 2 hours.
Frying
  1. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  2. Fry the mozzarella bites in hot oil until golden brown, ensuring to take them out before the cheese oozes out.
  3. Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.
