Ingredients
  

Cookies
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips semi-sweet
  • 2 cups shredded coconut sweetened
  • 1 cup candy eggs for decoration

Method
 

Prepare the Cookie Dough
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips and shredded coconut.
Shape and Bake
  1. Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  2. Use your thumb to create a small indentation in the center of each cookie to form the nest shape.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  4. Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Decorate
  1. Once the cookies are cool, fill the indentations with candy eggs.
