Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Buttermilk
  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1/4 tsp Minced Garlic
  • 1/4 tbsp Chopped Fresh Parsley
  • 1 tbsp Chopped Fresh Dill
  • 1/4 tbsp Chopped Fresh Chives
  • 1/8 tsp Salt
  • 1 dash Black Pepper

Equipment

  • mixing bowl
  • whisk
  • measuring cups
  • measuring spoons
  • container with lid

Method

  1. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, pour the buttermilk. Add the sour cream and mayonnaise to the bowl.
  2. Mix the buttermilk, sour cream, and mayonnaise until the mixture is smooth and the ingredients are fully integrated.
  3. Incorporate the minced garlic into the mixture. Follow with the freshly chopped parsley, dill, and chives. Stir these in to distribute evenly throughout the dressing.
  4. Sprinkle the salt and a dash of black pepper over the mixture. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
  5. Taste the dressing to check the balance of flavors. Adjust the seasoning, adding more salt or pepper to suit your taste.
  6. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or transfer it to a jar with a tight-fitting lid and place it in the refrigerator to chill for at least one hour.
  7. After chilling, give the dressing a good stir or shake (if in a jar) to ensure any settled ingredients are mixed back in.
  8. Enjoy your homemade Longhorn Ranch Dressing over salads, as a vegetable dip, or as a condiment for sandwiches and burgers.
