Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds store-bought pizza dough
  • 0.5 cup extra virgin olive oil scant
  • 8 cloves garlic chopped
  • 4 sprigs fresh rosemary chopped
  • flaky salt to taste

Equipment

  • Muffin Pan
  • cutting board
  • knife
  • Measuring Cups and Spooons
  • Saucepan

Method

  1. Place the pizza dough in a lightly greased bowl and allow it to come to room temperature. Cut the dough ball into 12 even slices.
  2. In a standard muffin pan, pour 1 teaspoon of olive oil into each muffin cup.
  3. Shape each piece of dough into a rough ball and place it into the oiled muffin pan. Cover the pan with a towel and let it rest near the oven while it preheats to 400 degrees.
  4. While the dough rests, chop the garlic and remove the leaves from the sprigs of rosemary, then chop.
  5. Heat the remaining olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and rosemary to the hot oil and stir until it stops sizzling.
  6. Spoon a generous amount of the oil onto each dough ball.
  7. Press into the dough to create dimples and help the garlic and rosemary adhere.
  8. Bake for 14-16 minutes, loosely covering with foil if tops brown too quickly.
