  • 1 lb Ground Beef or use Italian sausage
  • 1 lb Italian Sausage can substitute with turkey sausage
  • 1 medium Onion finely chopped
For the Spread
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese softened
  • 1/4 cup Mayonnaise or Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp Dijon Mustard
For Assembly
  • 8 slices Rye Bread cut into small squares or triangles
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheese mozzarella or cheddar

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Brown the sausage in a skillet over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes until thoroughly browned and crumbly. Drain excess grease.
  3. Mix in cream cheese until well combined. Remove from heat and fold in Worcestershire sauce.
  4. Spread the mixture onto toasted rye bread slices, ensuring even coverage.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes until edges are bubbly and lightly browned.
  6. Serve warm and enjoy!
