Filling
  • 4 cups fresh peaches sliced and pitted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar adjust based on sweetness of peaches
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice to enhance flavor
Topping
  • 1 box yellow cake mix dry
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup chopped pecans optional

Method
 

Prepare the filling
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced peaches, sugar, and lemon juice. Stir until well mixed.
Assemble the cake
  1. Pour the peach mixture into the bottom of the baking dish.
  2. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the peaches.
  3. Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix, ensuring even coverage.
  4. If using, sprinkle chopped pecans on top.
Bake
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the peaches are bubbly.
  2. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
