Ingredients
  

Pasta
  • 12 oz spaghetti or any pasta of choice
Sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil extra virgin
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes 28 oz
  • 1/2 cup black olives pitted and sliced
  • 2 tbsp capers rinsed
  • 4 anchovy fillets anchovies chopped
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley chopped for garnish
Seasoning
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste

Method
 

Cook the Pasta
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
Prepare the Sauce
  1. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  2. Stir in the anchovies and cook until they dissolve into the oil.
  3. Add crushed tomatoes, olives, capers, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Combine and Serve
  1. Drain the pasta and add it to the sauce. Toss to combine and heat through for 1-2 minutes.
  2. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
