- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until combined—don’t overwork the meat.
- Roll mixture into 1 1/2-inch meatballs and place on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until cooked through.
- While meatballs cook, warm the BBQ sauce in a skillet over low heat.
- Transfer cooked meatballs to the skillet and toss to coat in sauce.
- Place 4–5 meatballs into each sub roll. Top with shredded cheddar and chopped bacon.
- Arrange subs on a baking sheet and broil for 2–3 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
